Twenty minutes – that’s all it takes to connect a machine to AXOOM. In no time at all, machine conditions can now be monitored from anywhere, and predictive maintenance is easier than ever. Logistics become more transparent, which in turn simplifies the manufacturing process. Users benefit from the platform’s openness and ease of use. Machines and sensors from different manufacturers can be linked together, existing software systems can be connected across multiple locations. “AXOOM enables machines, sensors and components to be quickly and easily connected irrespective of the manufacturer, which sets it apart from the competition. Numerous applications prove that AXOOM works well in a wide range of sectors in industry,” says Tom Tischner, Managing Director at AXOOM. The platform is aimed at the entire manufacturing chain within any given company. From initial order to delivery, AXOOM connects key production processes. “We fuse the data from different systems to identify any actions recommended in the production chain. This lets our customers speed up their production processes, focus on their core expertise and ultimately sharpen their competitive edge,” says Tischner.
Partners, customers and AXOOM form a network
Established in 2015, the company now employs some 100 people. Its customers include prestigious companies in the automotive, mechanical engineering and electrical industries. In Tischner’s words: “We benefit from the manufacturing expertise of our parent company, TRUMPF. We understand the challenges that engineering and other industrial companies face, and we can address the needs of each sector.” AXOOM advises customers on topics ranging from digital strategy to the development and implementation of applications. “Our platform also facilitates communication between our partners and our customers. As a result, the range of apps we offer grows in step with our customers’ needs, creating a network effect,” says Tischner. We partner not only with software providers, but also with sensor and hardware vendors.
AXOOM showcases high-tech solutions in Hanover
AXOOM will also be presenting its solutions together with its customers and partners at the Hannover Messe. At Booth F12 in Hall 8, visitors can learn about applications from such companies as FZI Stream Pipes, anacision, oculavis and TRUMPF. They can also watch remote maintenance performed on a Makino machine: a service technician will gain direct access to the machine data and, based on video recordings of the machine taken using smart glasses, will be able to examine the machine in real time and give recommendations for repairing it. The booth will also feature a digitally connected 3D printer from TRUMPF – the TruPrint 1000. AXOOM displays the key production data from the machine on a dashboard, providing a continuous overview of the production process.
